I've been on the hunt for a new exfoliator since I started my acne treatment in January. My skin has become much more sensitive so I needed something that would do what an exfoliator does without irritating my skin. If you've been a follower for the past month or two, you've probably heard me bang on about Origins so I thought I would try their Never A Dull Moment scrub. It promises to help the skin look radiant and youthful after use thanks to the fruit extracts and finely ground Apricot and Mango seeds.
Upon application, I noticed that the product smelled strongly of fruits and was quite a sticky, almost jam-like texture with fine scrubby particles in it. I only used just over a pea-sized amount over my damp face and it spread so smoothly over my skin. The scrubby particles were nicely dispersed so it didn't feel too abrasive which I was pleasantly surprised by. All was good and it rinsed off easily to leave my skin incredibly smooth. I was happy with the product until I patted my face dry and looked in the mirror to find my skin a little sore and red. I thought it would die down within half an hour at the most but hours later, my skin still felt a little raw and irritated overall.
I was rather disappointed because I expected it to be a more gentle scrub and throughout the scrubbing process where I lightly massaged it on my face in circular motions, I was still happy with it. I've used up the sample now and my opinion and experience has not changed.
I will not be purchasing the full-sized product and I do not recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin.
Those with more normal skin, perhaps it's worth a try because the product does have good reviews from others.
Have you tried the Origins Never A Dull Moment before?
